The Worst Movie We've Ever Made (a movie made during the 2024 Oscars)
A filmmaker rushes to make a movie with his friend in 3 hours. With no preparation they have to improvise the whole movie, with the resulting movie turning into a story about a leprechaun seeking revenge on a dog for eating his golden egg.
This was made as part of a challenge started by @Joel-Haver where you film an entire movie during the Oscars, and only have one week to edit it. The purpose of this challenge for me was to let go of perfection and just make something fun with my friends. I also thought it was fun to make it even worse on purpose by using an old camcorder, using the in-cam mic, not trying to act well, and doing very minimal editing. This movie ended up being more for me and my friends since it deals with an inside joke as one of the main ideas of the movie. I'll explain the inside joke so hopefully it makes more sense to general audiences lol. One of the first videos I made for this channel was titled 'Dog Egg', I made it when I was around 10 years old, and as most things made at a young age before receiving a lot of experience, it was very bad. But because of the strange concept of the video one of my best friends (Tyler) praises it as a cinematic masterpiece. Because this movie was entirely improvised, Tyler ended up turning it into something that mainly focuses on 'Dog Egg'.
I don't expect people to watch this whole thing (I know it's long and boring) but I'd suggest skipping to 36:26, I think that's the best part (you will miss some context, but if you've seen 'Dog Egg' you should be fine)
Also, as the Academy defines a feature film as 40 minutes or longer, this is technically my first feature. I thought my first feature would be something I actually put a lot of work into, but oh well, features that I actually put work into will be coming...
